Does anyone know exactly what turbos are on the 3.5 Ecoboost motors? Specifically the transverse mounted 3.5's such as Flex, Taurus, MKS, MKT.

I know the F150's use Borg Warner turbos, and I do know that the one's in question above are Garrett, but exactly what Garretts?

I joined the forum because I was wondering the exact same thing. I believe it's a Garrett GT15 but it seems very small and what about the compressor size? Flanges? :headscratch:

I am planning bying a 2013 SHO and do some modifications. Turbos swap would be nice! :shift:

There's a guy on the http://www.shoforum.com in the gen 4 section (http://www.shoforum....splay.php?f=103) called 4DRHTRD that's swapped the turbos on his new SHO and might be able to give more insight into what you're looking for.

The F150 has honeywell turbos I would assume ford use same manufacture on all vehicles. Honeywell owns Garrett but a person who works for garrett on one of forums said they were not Garrett's. I did some research and Honeywell has a factory in Japan where I believe they are manufactured. Honeywell is the largest supplier to the automotive manufacturing  industry.

Great article on tubo operation http://mrtruck.net/ecoboost.htm

That's good to know.  Are the f150 turbos bigger than the SHO?

I think they are the same size but I'm not positive.

Plus honeywell makes good stuff.  I just replaced my gas valve with a honeywell.
